CalendSync ("we", "our", "us") provides a calendar synchronization service that keeps your Google Calendars in sync. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

2. Google Data We Access

When you sign in with Google, we request access to the following data:

  • Email address — Used as your account identifier and for service communications.
  • Calendar list — Used to display your calendars and configure sync rules.
  • Calendar events — Read from Google to synchronize between your selected calendars. We do not store event content — only event identifiers and change tokens (eTags) needed to track sync state.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the calendar synchronization service:

  • Syncing events between your own Google Calendars based on rules you configure.
  • Maintaining sync state to detect and propagate changes.
  • Authenticating your identity and managing your account.

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the service.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • All connections to our service are encrypted using TLS/HTTPS.
  • OAuth tokens are stored securely and used only to access the Google Calendar API on your behalf.
  • We do not store your calendar event content (titles, descriptions, attendees, etc.). We store only event identifiers and eTags to track sync state. Event data is read from Google at sync time, used to propagate changes, and not persisted on our servers.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or calendar information with any third parties. Your data is accessed only by the CalendSync service to perform the synchronization you have configured.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You can request deletion of your data at any time by:

  • Deleting your account through the application settings.
  • Contacting us at the email address below.

When your account is deleted, all associated data — including OAuth tokens, sync rules, and event sync tracking records — is permanently removed.

7. Google API Services User Data Policy

CalendSync's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
